    Campeonato Brasiliero Série A Week 3

    Two promoted clubs clashed at the Pacaembu and Corinthians picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Barueri without Rolando. Internacional kept their 100% record with victory away at Goiás, Taison with the goal 13 minutes from time. Cruzeiro warmed up for their upcoming Libertadores clash with São Paulo with a 2-0 victory over Vitória. Two Kléber strikes within 6 first half minutes the difference between the sides.

    Botafogo fell to their first defeat of the season, going down 2-0 to Grêmio with the goals coming from Jonas and Fabio Santos. Atlético Paranaense dropped to the bottom of the table after surrendering a two goal advantage against Náutico. Wallyson's two strikes sent Atlético into half with with a two goal advantage, but the visitors fought back and were level 10 minutes into the second half before Anderson Lessa's second goal 6 minutes from time stole all 3 points. Despite falling behind only 9 minutes into the game, Santos picked up their first win with a comfortable 4-1 success over 9 man Fluminense. Kléber Pereira with 2 late strikes for Santos. Ahead of their Libertadores quarter finals this week Palmeiras and São Paulo drew 0-0 at the Palestra Italia. Both teams though finished the game with ten men. Atlético Mineiro climbed to third after a 3-2 away at Sport. They made hard work of it though, after going 3 up before half time they had to batton down the hatches to fend of a fightback from Sport. Coritiba climbed off the bottom and picked up their first point of the season with a 2-2 draw at Avaí. After taking the lead through Muriui Avaí fell behind to strikes from Hugo and Marcelinho before Ricardinho gave the promoted club their third successive draw. And finally, two strikes from Josiel were enough to give Flamengo their first win of the season at Santo André. Ricardo Conceicao with a reply for the home side.
