    Eredivise reviews: PSV stumble

    PSV 2-3 Heerenveen
    Willem II 0-3 Heracles
    NAC 3-1 Sparta
    Roda 3-1 De Graafschap
    AZ 3-0 Groningen
    Utrecht 0-2 Ajax
    Feyenoord 2-2 Vitesse
    Twente 1-0 Den Haag
    Volendam 1-1 NEC

A stoppage time penalty from Danijel Pranjic secured the points for Heerenveen on Friday night in a pulsating game in Eindhoven. After Paulo Henrique had put the visitors ahead early, Balázs Dzsudzsák equalised after good work from Nordin Amrabat. Five minutes later, PSV hit the front through Timmy Simons, latching onto a parried save from Ibrahim Afellay's powerful shot. Back came Heerenveen and it was Henrique again, getting on the end of a scuffed shot from Michael Dingsdag. And that looked like that was that until Australian Jason Culina pulled Pranjic down in the box, was sent off for his troubles and Pranjic did the rest. Heerenveen leapfrog PSV as a result.

AZ went about business in their usual style, Graziano Pelle getting two and Moussa Dembele the other in a comfortable 3-0 win over Groningen that put them 12 clear for 24 hours until Blaise N'Kufo got the only goal of the game as Twente beat Den Haag. Ajax too kept up their winning ways, albeit in nothing like convincing style, in beating Utrecht 2-0. Gregory van der Wiel was played in for the first by Miralem Sulejmani and Jan Vertonghen headed a second in the second half, again off a Sulejmani ball into the box. Cedric van der Gun was good against his former side, but too few of his team-mates were up for the fight, even when Ajax had to finish with ten men, Vertonghen's hamstring audibly going twang late on when Marco van Basten had already used his three subs.

Feyenoord had to come from behind twice to draw with Vitesse, Roy Makaay's goal securing a point after Nicky Hofs and Dalibor Stevanovic had given Arnhem the lead twice, Georgino Wijnaldum equalising in between times. Volendam looked to have grabbed three more crucial points in their fight for survival, but were denied at the last by Milano Koenders late, late goal that denied them the chance to get off the bottom for the first time in ages. Had they won, De Graafschap would have gone bottom after they lost 3-1 at Roda. Ben Sahar briefly had De Graafschap back level after Kris de Wree's opener, but goals from Andres Oper and Marcel de Jong gave struggling Roda the win. Sparta too went down 3-1 and remain in bother and they too were level for a time, Ruud Knol equalising Nourdin Boukhari's early goal. Late goals from Rob Penders and Czaber Feher secured the win. Heracles gave themselves a mighty boost with a comfortable win over Willem II, in freefall. Two goals in two minutes from Everton to set Heracles on their way and a last minute penalty from Ricky van den Bergh sealed it.
