    Managerial merry-go-round slowing down

The usual changes of manager are in full swing all across Europe, but the mists are slowly clearing, in Germany at least.
We knew about Louis van Gaal taking on the Bayern job and he's replaced in Alkmaar by Ronald Koeman. Jupp Heynckes was caretaker at Bayern and he moves to Leverkusen who see Bruno Labbadia depart for Hamburg where Martin Jol's move to Ajax frees up the hot-seat. Felix Magath will go to Schalke, as discussed in depth recently, which leaves the Wolfsburg job up for grabs. Thomas Schaaf was the favourite, but the longer it drags on, the more likely it seems that he'll stay in Bremen. Christoph Daum has left Cologne to go to Turkey with Fenerbahce.

In France, Le Mans have appointed Paulo Duarte as head coach, the Portuguese leaving his post at Burkina Faso. Guy Lacombe leaves Rennes for Monaco and he's succeeded by Frederic Antonetti who had agreed to leave Nice before the season ended.

In the Eredivisie, all the major moves - AZ and Ajax apart - had been done and dusted during the season. If only every league could behave themselves so well.
