Monchengladbach 2-1 Nurnberg
Leverkusen v Wolfsburg
Bochum v Hoffenheim
Hertha v Mainz
Hannover v Bremen
Stuttgart v Hamburg
Bayern v Dortmund
Schalke v Cologne
Eintracht v Freiburg
We're late for Gladbach's morale boosting win over Nurnberg who look increasingly doomed. So to do Hertha, Mainz's opposition this week. Away from home, Mainz have been poor, but Hertha aren't fussed where they play: they're poor everywhere. Hannover are deep in trouble too and will be doing very well indeed to get anything out of Bremen. Freiburg are just out of immediate danger and go to Frankfurt to face Eintracht, the most frustratingly inconsistent side in the league. Bochum have been grinding the points out lately and are a good tip to beat Hoffenheim, despite the Villagers finally notching a win last week. Indeed, Bochum are just three points behind the champions. They'd have taken that if offered at the start of the season, but nobody could have foreseen Wolfsburg's implosion. And Die Wolfe face Leverkusen - still unbeaten and still top - this week. If results elsewhere go against them, the champions could be very much in the relegation picture. As Klaas-Jan Huntelaar continues to flounder in Milan, Edin Dzeko and the Milan club must both be wondering 'what if'.
Bayern face Dortmund in what looks game of the week. Dortmund's terrific run came to a shuddering halt and it's Bayern who are the in-form team now. It'd be sweet for BvB to be the ones to end the 11-match run across all competitions that the Bavarians have put together. Stuttgart v Hamburg too looks a great game in prospect with the Swabians much improved under Christian Gross and Hamburg the best of the rest behind the top three. Schalke remain one of those three and face Cologne, a lot tougher a task than was the case even a month ago. Cologne have put a great run together to pull themselves away from trouble.
