    Eredivisie round 23

    NEC 4-2 NAC
    Vitesse v Twente
    Den Haag v Willem II
    Heerenveen v Ajax
    AZ v Roda
    Utrecht v Feyenoord
    Groningen v Waalwijk
    Heracles v PSV
    Sparta v VVV Venlo

A bit late with the previews this week, so late for the NAC/NEC clash and it's a massive boost for Nijmegen as they win again. More on that next week.

Game of the week looks the clash at the Nieuw Galgewaard where Feyenoord travel to face Utrecht. Styles make fights, so goes the boxing cliché, and it's applicable here as obdurate Feyenoord face the more flamboyant Utrecht. After losing for the first time this season a week ago, Twente will be hoping their big local rivals can do them a favour. While the Tukkers are short odds to dispose of Vitesse, they'll have their eyes trained on their neighbours in Almelo and hoping PSV come a cropper there. Ajax have renewed hope after that win over Twente last week and ought to beat Heerenveen. Goals have started to flow recently and while Heerenveen are much improved, the goal threat Ajax pose can be overwhemling at times.

Waalwijk are still miles adrift and another nail can be put in their coffin at Groningen. Sparta are the club they're aiming to overhaul and they face VVV Venlo at Het Kasteel. Den Haag v Willem II is a massive clash in terms of the relegation picture and Roda, who are just about out of the picture at the bottom, visit AZ.
