    Another One Bites The Dust

    Flamengo have sacked coach Cuca after the 1-1 draw with Barueri at the Maracaña on Wednesday night. Flamengo have become the ninth club to be relieve their coach of his position since the season started in May. The Flamnengo fans were chanting "Goodbye Cuca" after the game. Flamengo vice-president Kléber Leite told the gathered media "We talked with Cuca after the match and we believe it's time to part company." Andrade, an assistant coach at Fla will take charge of the team for the game at Santos on Sunday.

    Cuca stated that this team should be good enough to claim a top 4 berth and qualify for next years Copa Libertadores especially after singing Adriano after his release from Internazionale Milano.

    There have been coaching changes since the start of Série A at Flamengo's city rivals Fluminense, Champions São Paulo, Santos, twice at Náutico, Palmeiras, Atlético Paranaense, Sport Recife and Grêmio.
