Saturday:
Valenciennes v PSG
Sochaux v Nantes
Lyon v Caen
Nancy v Marseille
Bordeaux v Monaco
Rennes v Lorient
Le Havre v Lille
Nice v Toulouse
Auxerre v St Etienne
Le Mans v Grenoble
Bordeaux can wrap up the title this week with a win over Monaco and few would bet against them getting it. Trouble is, with Marseille at struggling Nancy, it looks like going down to the final round of fixtures in a week's time. Lyon are safe in third and Champions League qualification, but it's been a disappointing season for the long reigning champions. They host Caen this week in what looks a straightforward game despite Caen's desperate need for points. They pulled out of the bottom three last week, but their position remains precarious.
Le Havre are gone already and Lille, their opponents this week, have little to play for. Nantes and Sochaux face off in the big game down at the bottom. A draw helps neither, but it'd be a massive boost for St Etienne who have a tough task at Auxerre who have found form, albeit too late for a tilt at Europe. Le Mans have been sucked into it and they need points at home to Grenoble. Valenciennes need a point for safety and they face PSG who are reported to have snapped up VA coach Antoine Kombouare to replace Paul Le Guen. PSG are an infuriatingly inconsistent side, but look good for the Europa League next season.
Toulouse have fallen away, but still have the league's leading goal scorer in André-Pierre Gignac and that might well be enough to see off Nice. And finally, there's a mid-table local derby as Lorient go to the Stade de la Route de Lorient in Rennes.
