Atlético-PR clambered out of the relegation zone after a crucial win at Cruzeiro. In a game which saw the home side win the red card count 2-1, Marchino put the visitors ahead just after half time. Gabriel Pimba made the game safe for Atlético two minutes from time. The São Paulo recovery continues after a come from behind victory over Botafogo. Lucio Flavio put the visitors ahead after 20 minutes, but São Paulo went into half time ahead. Jorge Wágner converting from the spot before Washington edged them ahead right on half time. Dagoberto wrapped things up for the Champions in the second half. Avaí made it 7 games unbeaten after a 1-0 victory over Santo André, William with the only goal of the game after 11 minutes. Santo Andre have not won now in their last 6 games.
Náutico picked up their first win since May 24 after overcoming a Corinthians side which is badly missing talisman Ronaldo. Gilmar getting the only goal of the game, converting from the spot just before half time. Goiás moved up into second after victory over Flamengo, the home side were two up in side the first 23 minutes thanks to Amaral and Léo Lima. But Flamengo hit back, Adriano scored from the sport before Serbian Dejan Petkovic equalised 10 minutes from time. Goiás stunned Flamengo though when Iarley grabbed the winner as the game headed into injury time. Coritiba dropped into the relegation zone after a 1-0 defeat at home to Santos, Paulo Henrique with the only goal of the game after 20 minutes. The visitors finished with 10 men after Robson was sent off 5 minutes from time for a second bookable offence.
Palmeiras remain top after a 1-1 draws with Grêmio. Cleiton Xavier put the hosts ahead in the 28th minute but the lead didn't last long. Maxi López equalizing for Grêmio three minutes later. Barueri snapped a three game losing streak with a comfortable victory over a Vitória side that fell to it's third straight loss. Luís put Barueri two up at half time before Otacillo Neto and Thiago Humberto wrapped things up in the second half. Amazing scenes at the Maracaña as Sport Recife slumped to the bottom of the table after a humping from Fluminense. It was a first victory for Flu since June 7 as they ran riot. Kieza put "Flu" two up inside half an hour and Roni made it three before half time. Vandinho pulled a goal back for Sport but Carlos Eduardo quickly restored the three goal advantage and Maicon put the icing on the cake in injury time.
Coming up this weekend in Round 18. Internacional are back from their trip to Japan for some meaningless tournament so it's a full round of fixtures.

Internacional update.
They've been in Japan playing Oita Trinita in the Suraga Bank Championship. This game is between the winners of the Copa Sudamericana and the winners of the J League Cup. It's endorsed by the AFC and CONMEBOL and Inter won the game by two goals to one.
